Full course description

The annual state assessments for public school students are an important part of our state's efforts to ensure that all students are meeting academic standards and receiving a high-quality education. To ensure that these assessments are conducted in a fair and consistent manner, we will be desk monitoring a selection of schools within your district.
Here are the expectations and guidelines for desk monitoring:
The desk monitoring process will occur following the administration of the state assessments; please reference the OSTP or CCRA Key Dates Documents.
The desk monitoring team will review materials and procedures related to the administration of the assessments, including test materials, testing schedules, and training materials.
The desk monitoring team will provide feedback and recommendations to the district and site administrators on any areas that may need improvement in order to ensure the integrity of the assessments.
It is important that all district and site staff cooperate fully with the desk monitoring team and follow all procedures and guidelines related to the administration of the state assessments.
As part of the desk monitoring process, the local districts and sites will be required to provide the following documentation; also, please reference the Test Administration Manuals (TAM) and Test Preparation Manual (TPM).
The official schedule of testing
District/Site policies and procedures related to the administration of the assessments, including guidelines for handling test materials, and ensuring student confidentiality
Documentation of any accommodations or modifications provided to students during the assessments
Any other relevant documentation as requested by the desk monitoring team.
