The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) Grant provides all children in participating schools with a variety of free fresh fruits and vegetables outside of the breakfast and lunch serving times. The program is designed to introduce school children to a variety of produce that they otherwise might not have had the opportunity to sample. The goal is to increase these school children's consumption of fruits and vegetables. The program also encourages schools to develop partnerships at the State and local level for support in implementing and operating the program. This training will go over the guidelines for the implementation of the program and how to make a claim for reimbursement. It will also give the learner some best practices for ensuring success with this grant.
