Full course description

Offer versus Serve (OvS) is a provision in the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program that allows for students to decline certain foods that are offered. The goals of Offer versus Serve are to reduce food waste and permit students to take foods they will eat. Offer versus Serve is optional at all grade levels for breakfast and required for senior high school for lunch. The purpose of this training is to help menu planners and school nutrition personnel properly implement this method of service.
