Overview of the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Computer Science

This self-paced course provides a practical overview of the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Computer Science (OAS-CS). Participants will examine how the standards are organized, how to read a standard code, how concepts and practices work together, and how expectations progress across grade levels and high school pathways. The course is designed to build confidence with the standards without adding unnecessary length or workload. The standards define what students should know and be able to do, are organized around five core concepts, and are intended to support flexible local instructional planning rather than prescribe curriculum.
