Procurement is another word for purchasing. If an institution is procuring goods and services for child nutrition programs, they must determine whether they are required to use an informal or formal procurement method. It is important to understand and then identify which method best meets the needs of the individual operation. This training will go over the USDA requirements of how to procure goods and services using Child Nutrition funds in the Child and Adult Care Food Program and the Summer Food Service Program.
