Participants will examine the purpose and structure of academic standards, the six-year review cycle, and the roles of executive, writing, and draft review committees. The course also emphasizes meaningful stakeholder engagement through focus groups and public comment, with a specific lens on the 2025–2026 review of the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Health and Physical Education. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of how standards are reviewed, revised, and approved by the Oklahoma State Board of Education to ensure high-quality, rigorous expectations for student learning across the state. |
