How to Read the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science

Science PD on Your Plan is a collection of courses designed to assist science educators with professional development around the implementation of the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science (OAS-S). Courses can be utilized by individual teachers or groups of educators in professional learning communities. 
In this course, Unpacking the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science, educators will learn when standards are reviewed and the purpose of subject-area standards, identify the different components of the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science (OAS-S) and become more familiar with the three dimensions of the OAS-S. 
This course consists of seven modules, including a quiz. Once completed, educators will earn a 1/2 professional development credit. To assist with learning, educators may want to take notes, including writing on a printed example of a standard. Links to an example standard that can be easily printed are provided in the course overview.
